Postcards From Romania.
I won’t welcome you to these photographs with an in-depth photographic discourse. There is nothing of that nature. The reality of these photographs is quite simple. I captured these photographs during my visit to my home country, Romania. As a child I saw these kinds of images on TV or depicted in Romanian movies. These surreal images became engraved in my memory and became part of my childhood. And the photographs you are looking at now remind me of that period.
Certain places within these cities are slowly fading away and ‘modern times’ are taking over. So this is me, saving some of my old memories on photographic paper, before they disappear.
All photographs were taken with the Hasselblad 501CM Medium Format Camera on Kodak Portra 400 Professional Film.

Train tracks to home.
